New incubator for creative industries in cooperation of FDU and SGA!

The Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) and SGA are launching a pilot incubator program for creative industries, which will start in March 2025 and last for one year! This space will help young creatives develop projects in the field of game design, visual arts, production, post-production and gamification.

Suppose you want to develop your ideas through practical work and with the help of great mentors, explore new technologies and improve your creative content creation, promotion and distribution skills. In that case, this incubator is perfect for you!

The incubator will be an ideal place for collaboration and knowledge exchange where FDU students and members of the SGA community will be able to experiment with technologies and test new ideas in practice through workshops, hackathons and projects.

“While the work of the incubator is location-related to the premises of FDU, our desire is to attract young creatives from all over Serbia to this ‘oasis’ – a place where they can grow, meet like-minded people and create and implement projects together,” says Mina Cvetinović Pavkov, the Associate Professor at Faculty of Dramatic Arts.

The incubator will be focused on collaboration with gaming companies, which will bring the participants closer to the real needs of the market and help them find potential partners for the realization of their ideas. Cooperation with other incubators and scientific institutions will also be encouraged.

“We believe that this incubator will open new opportunities for young people to improve their skills, develop projects and find their way in creative industries. Combining art, technology and entrepreneurship can create an inspiring community and provide a strong tailwind for new generations of creatives,” said Nenad Jovanovski, the Project Manager at SGA.

The ultimate goal of the innovation incubator is the development of an entrepreneurial culture within the faculty and the establishment of sustainable startups through the cooperation of students, professors, researchers and partners. So, if this sounds like a perfect fit for you, follow us for more information about the program, applications and events, and you can sign up here and be in the first row for all the news!

The launch of the innovation incubator at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts was supported as part of the Program for the Formation and Development of Innovation Incubators in Scientific and Research Organizations of the Innovation Fund, thanks to funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia from the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation.
