APPLICATION:
To apply for the role of Environment Artist, you need to have a good portfolio that shows your skills and experience in creating 3D environments. A portfolio should demonstrate a range of technical and creative skills, primarily including skills in 3D modeling, but experience in texturing, lighting and level design is a plus. In the application, through examples, you should also demonstrate your ability to collaborate with other team members, as well as to take direction and feedback from the project leader.
In terms of education and qualifications, a degree in a related field such as computer graphics, digital art or game design is a plus, but it is not necessarily a requirement to apply. You should have a good understanding of 3D modeling software, such as Maya, 3ds Max or Blender, as well as knowledge of game engines, such as Unity or Unreal Engine. You should also have a solid understanding of game design principles, such as player navigation, game mechanics and level pacing. Excellent problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, the ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines are also essential to succeed in this role, so it would be good to demonstrate these in your application as well.

You may be given access to the company’s software tools and resources, or you may be asked to perform a task using your own software and resources.
